Mike Gore

Robert Michael "Mike" Gore, 67, of Lacey's Spring AL passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 20th, 2019, with his devoted family by his side.  Hampton Cove Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Robert Reese and Vonceil DeShazo Gore and his father in law Earl DuBose.

Mike met his best friend and the love of his life Sandra and convinced her to marry him 27 years ago.  They lived in Florida and then moved to Lacey's Spring.

Mike was an avid fisherman and could be found on water every chance he got.  He loved to fish and he encouraged others to share his love of fishing anytime that he could.  Mike was a retired carpenter who was known for his carpentry skills.  He recently rededicated his life to Christ by being baptized again, showing his commitment to his faith.  He attended Weatherly Church of Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife Sandra Dubose Gore;devoted son Aaron Michael Gore;devoted daughter Windy Gore Hogan(David); sisters Kathi Chalk, Clarise Trump (Mike) and Becky Weekly; mother-in-law Betty Dubose; brother-in-law David Dubose (Janet); sisters-in-law Sharon Dubose and Shirley Taft (Jack); grandchildren Mary, Katie and Zach and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24th, 2019 at Hampton Cove Funeral Home from 1 to 2 pm. His service will follow the visitation at 2 pm.
