It was rare through the years for him to ever miss a ball game, band concert, choral concert, track and field event, PTA program or other activities in which his children and grandchildren were a participant. Some of the happiest hours of his life were spent at those events. In short, he was a good caring, hard working, dedicated, and loving person. Jim gave his all to everything he ever did.

He also worked at Teledyne Brown and retired as the manager of the Computer Systems Engineering Department at Tec-Masters. Some of his proudest accomplishments through the years were the work he contributed to the Space Shuttle, the Patriot Missile Defense program, and the Theatre High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program. In his leisure time he loved to hunt, fish, play golf, and watch his beloved University of Miami sports, especially football.
Jim and Terry enjoyed traveling during their retirement years. They traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, the Western National Parks of the USA, Europe, and also took several Caribbean cruises.
