Clyde Fowler Jr, 70, passed away Sunday February 16th, 2020 at his residence with his loving wife Rosalind by his side. Hampton Cove Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Imogene Fowler; and his sister Sue Tidwell.
Clyde was born and raised in Huntsville, and he was a 1967 graduate of Huntsville High School. After he graduated high school, Clyde attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville where he received his BSBA. He also was a proud Veteran of the US Navy.
After he received his degree, he worked as a purchasing agent for Streamline Automotive. He enjoyed his work life, but his real love was his art.
At heart, Clyde was an artist and a craftsman. His true passion was creating bamboo instruments, but he was famous for his Australian lagerphone instrument. He loved creating the folk instruments, but he had as much fun playing the instrument as he did creating it.
Clyde is survived by the love of his life Rosalind McDermott of Huntsville and his sister Loretta Breasseale of North Carolina; several nephews; and his loving rescued fur baby El Nino.
