Debra Davis Obituary

Debra Ann Goray-Davis of Arab, Alabama, age 66, passed away at Huntsville Hospital Thursday December 28th, 2023 after a long battle with kidney disease and kidney failure. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy June Goray, her Father, Sam Pete Goray, and her husband, Gary Michael Davis. She is survived by her sister, Donna Marie Goray-Dempsey, her daughters Alicia Ann Davis and Emily June Davis, and her beloved grandchildren Evelyn Dawn Breazeal, Ramona Moon Breazeal, Jackson Alexander Lumpkin, and Violet Elena Kelley. She was a loving momma, maw-maw, sister, aunt, wife, and friend. She was witty, silly, funny, generous, kind, carefree and spontaneous, and fiercely protective of her children and grandchildren.

Debra was born in Valdosta, Georgia and grew up in Weaver, Alabama. She was a stay at home mom to her two daughters for most of her life, and is remembered fondly as the best momma and the best friend anyone could ever hope to have. When her grandchildren were born, they became her whole world. She was a great mom, but she was an even greater maw-maw, who would play with them, spoil them, and teach them about life. She would have done anything for her grandbabies and her daughters. She is sorely and dearly missed and will be deeply loved and remembered forever.
