Dr. Faizullah Syed passed away at his ranch in Colorado, surrounded by his family, after an atv accident.
Dr. Syed graduated with top honors from Khyber Medical School in Pakistan in 1995. After completing his residency at St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri, he moved to Alabama, where he worked at multiple hospital emergency rooms. Dr. Syed was a visionary. His dream of having a multi-disciplinary clinic with on-site imaging services was realized through Shoals Primary Care. Dr. Syed loved being a physician and dedicated his life to providing quality care with compassion to his patients, serving others, and helping those in need.
Dr. Syed was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to ski, hike and hunt. He had a particular love of the Rocky Mountains because they reminded him of his childhood home in the Swat Valley. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, never missing the opportunity to grill and serve a delicious steak. He was a notable dancer, especially at the clinic's yearly Christmas party. Dr. Syed never met a stranger and believed everyone deserved a second chance.
Dr. Syed leaves behind his wife Robina of 24 years and 3 loving children, Fuzlullah, Hannah and Abraham; his mother, Jehan Saba, Pakistan; a sister, Rehmat Afza, USA; a sister, Asmat, Pakistan; a brother, Ataullah Syed, Pakistan; a sister Salma, USA; a brother, Salam Syed, Wisconsin; a brother, Mati Syed, Alabama; a sister, Muslima Syed, Pakistan; a nephew Rafi Khan, Alabama; multiple nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and his extended family at Shoals Primary Care, Park Place, Cherokee Clinic, Lexington Clinic and Florence Clinic.
