FRANCES MAE EDWARDS ADEN of Huntsville, AL passed away 12/30/2020. Born in Crews, AL on December 16, 1926, she was preceded in death by her parents, Birdie Mae Edwards and Emmett Edwards; her husband, Harvey C. Aden, her brothers, Emmett Edwards, Jr., and "Dub" Edwards, and her grandson, David Aden. She is survived by Timmy C, Aden (Pam), Athens, AL, Sharon A. Aden, Atlanta, GA, Mark A. Aden (Sue) Athens, AL, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
"Frankie" married the love of her life, Harvey, when she was 16 and he was 17. Married before Harvey entered the Marine Corps during World War II, they celebrated 68 years of marriage, until Harvey's death in 2011. As a young wife, she was expecting their first child while Harvey fought in the battle of Iwo Jima. Together they attended the University of Mississippi and afterwards traveled the world together with their three children, eventually settling in Huntsville, AL where Harvey was hired by NASA for the Saturn V program. She was active in the Corps of Engineers Wives Club and attended various charitable fundraisers.
Frankie loved reading, traveling, cooking, shopping, quilting, and even a little gambling. She was vivacious, loving, and had a wicked sense of humor. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
