Freddy Coy Shaneyfelt

Freddy Coy Shaneyfelt, age 83, of New Hope, AL passed away on Monday October 28, 2019 at Tutt Fann Veterans Home. He loved the Lord and was a member of the Free Holiness Church for over 55 years. Mr. Shaneyfelt was born in Jefferson County, AL.  He retired from the United States Air Force after over 10 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. Mr. Shaneyfelt was a master sheet metal mechanic. He also taught sheet metal and was an instructor at the Huntsville Tech Center for several years.

Mr. Shaneyfelt is preceded in death by his parents Clarence Arlie Shaneyfelt and Mary Agnes Louis Mealer. He is survived by his wife Waverlyn Shaneyfelt of New Hope, AL; sons Randy Shaneyfelt and his wife Nancy of Mobile, Al, Royce Shaneyfelt of New Hope, AL and Daniel Shaneyfelt and his wife Teresa of New Hope, AL; daughter Esther Parks and her husband Bill of New Market, AL; Brother Carl Shaneyfelt and his wife Reba of Pinson, AL; Sisters Bobbie Veitch of Talladega, AL and Maxie Tidwell of Steele, AL; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jerry Hovis, Gene Stone, Dale Stone, Bobby Rusk, Rocky Lamons and Bill Parks.

Visitation for Mr. Shaneyfelt will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Hampton Cove Funeral Home from noon to 2 pm with his funeral service following at 2 pm. Brother Lavon Stone will be officiating. He will be buried in the adjoining cemetery.
