Obituary
Harry Thornberry, age 73, passed away at his home in Collierville, TN on Saturday, July 16, 2022. He was born in Huntsville, AL on July 15, 1949. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Inez Ashley; brothers: Ervin Ashley, Jessie "Babe" Thornberry, and Jerry Thornberry.
Mr. Thornberry was a cement mason, painter, and farmer. He loved his family and was always a hard worker. He enjoyed horses, chickens, wrestling, western movies, and listening to music.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Thornberry of 56 years; two sons: Lee Thornberry (Debbie) of Somerville, AL, Jamie Thornberry of Lacey's Spring, AL; two daughters: Sally Davenport (Scott) of Arab, AL and Renee Davidson (Billy) of Collierville, TN; and a special nephew, like a son, Al Thompson of Lacey's Spring, AL; 11 grandkids, 12 great-grandkids, and 1 sister, Pauline Thornberry of Lacey's Spring, AL.
Pallbearers will be the grandkids.
Services will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Hampton Cove Funeral Home at 2 pm with son-in-law, Bro. Billy Davidson and Pastor Bro. Terry Hunt officiating.. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
