James Wilson Cheek
Obituary
Mr. James Wilson Cheek passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023. He was born May 5, 1948 to Charles and Bobbie Cheek. During his career as a Mechanical Engineer he worked at Teledyne Brown, Coleman Research and Boeing, from which he retired. He enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels and did so for more than 25years. He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Mr. Cheek is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bobbie, and his brother Charlie Cheek. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Frances Byrd Cheek, his sons David (Helen) and Eric (Jackie), his sister Elizabeth Hopstein and his grandchildren Emmaline, Cate, Henry and Chloe.
The family will receive friends at 10:00AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Trinity United Methodist Church (607 Airport Rd. SW Huntsville, AL).
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
