Jean Helen Kingsbury Bishop passed away suddenly on 03-07-2020 at Huntsville Hospital. Jean was born in Binghamton, New York and lived in Huntsville for over 40 years. She graduated from Athens State University with a degree in Business Management. She retired after a long career, first as an army wife and mother, and then from civil service as a budget analyst with the Department of Defense. Jean lived a life dedicated to her family and found the greatest joy watching her grandchildrens’ activities. She loved tending her flower garden and playing games with her family. She is dearly loved and will be sorely missed. Jean is survived by her husband, Kenton L. Bishop, brother, Robert Kingsbury, sons Lawrence Bishop, William (Marjorie) Bishop and daughters, Sandra Halcomb, Sharon (Greg) Stone, and 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Halcomb, Christine Bishop, Will Bishop, Elizabeth Halcomb, Cynthia Bishop, Matthew Halcomb, Lexi Jorda, Julien Stone, Alyssa Jorda and Jonathan Bishop.

The family will hold a private celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Hampton Cove Funeral Home is assisting the family.
