On October 6, 2021, Julia Dyann Baker, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at the age of 36 after fighting a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. Julia was born on October 28, 1984 in Killeen, Texas. She obtained her LPN certificate from Wallace State Community College. Julia enjoyed helping people and working in the medical field. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious laugh, and her compassionate spirit. Julia is survived by her husband of seventeen years, Shawn Baker, of Huntsville, AL; her two children, Tyler and Aida Brooke; her mother, Diane Yeargan, of Dothan, AL; her father, Aubrey McKinley, of Coy, AL; her sister, Missy Brewer (Berkeley) of Clanton, AL; her bother, Preston Ray (Lauren) of Tonasket, WA; and several; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. All loved her very much! On Thursday, October 14, 2021, the immediate family will take a sunset cruise and spread Julia's ashes off the coast of Orange Beach, AL. Julia loved animals, therefore in lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Julia's name to a local animal shelter or humane society.
