Louise F. King passed away peacefully in her home with family by her side on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Louise was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas on December 30, 1936 and for the next twenty years lived in Corning, Arkansas. She was a lovely and remarkable woman dedicated to family and especially to her husband for the next sixty-four years. She had met him, a young Air Force pilot, while taking a break from Arkansas State University in 1958, and after a whirlwind courtship, married him that same year.

At two of these locations, in 1963 and 1972, she was the sole parent while her husband was in Vietnam as a pilot with the Air Force. Louise enjoyed moving and the associated challenges dealing with three small children. She was a wonderful and very caring mother to them.
At the next to last location, she began working with Regions Bank, retiring later with twenty-five years of service. Her final move in 2010 was to Hampton Cove, Alabama to be near family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maelene Ermert,; father, Louis Ermert; and brother, Jimmy Ermert. She is survived by her sister, Brenda Simpson.
Survivors include her loving husband, Byron King, Colonel, United States Air Force (Ret); daughter, Joni Ward and husband, Bradford; granddaughter, Kaylen Thoele and husband, Jake; and great-granddaughter, Hensley; son, Craig King and wife, Linda; grandson, Nikolas King and wife, Grace; great-granddaughter, Eloise; and great-grandson, William; and grandson, Alexander King and wife, Jessica; and daughter, Sherry Mokry and husband, Frank; granddaughter, Darby McArthur and her husband, Christopher; and granddaughter, Mckenzie Mokry.
