Lurlyne B. Leach, 98, of Huntsville passed away peacefully Friday. She was a dedicated Christian, wife to J.B., mother of 3, grandmother of 4, and great-grandmother of 4. A native of Tennessee, she loved nothing more than her family. She met her husband while working in Florence, Alabama; they married shortly after and remained so for 68 years, living in Japan, France and numerous states over their life together, finally settling in Huntsville in 1961. Lurlyne will be remembered by her limitless strength, lively sense of humor, captivating singing voice and fierce love of family. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Leach, son, Johnny Leach (Teresa), and son-in-law, Patrick Henry. Survivors include her devoted children, daughter, Susan Henry and son, David Leach, grandchildren, William Henry (Jessica), Sarah Donnelly (Sean), Kaley Leach and Kevin Leach, and great-grandchildren Leo Henry (14), Elliott Henry (12), Eleanor Donnelly (7) and Lila Leach (3 months). Special thanks to Lurlyne’s devoted and caring in-home nurses. A visitation will be held at 12p for Mrs. Leach on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Hampton Cove Funeral Home with a funeral service directly to follow at 1p. Following the services Mrs. Leach will be interred at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
