Marguerite McLean Obituary

Marguerite "Maggie" Stokes McLean, a cherished soul whose warmth and vivacity touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital. Born on January 19, 1960, in the heart of Virginia, Maggie's journey through life was marked by her infectious laughter, boundless generosity, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones.

Maggie's early years in Virginia set the stage for a life full of love and adventure. Her vibrant spirit was evident to all who knew her, and her heart found its match when she met and married her beloved husband, Keith McLean. Together they built a life filled with joy and cherished memories. Though her husband, Keith, preceded her in death, the love they shared continued to illuminate the lives of those she left behind.

A pillar of strength and compassion, Maggie was also preceded in death by her devoted mother, Mary Ann Howes Stokes. Her legacy of kindness is carried on through her family, including her adoring daughter, Aimee Reed of Milton, Florida. Maggie's love knew no bounds, and she embraced her stepchildren, Jason, Adam, and Amanda McLean, all of Milton, Florida, with open arms and an open heart. Her father, Ray C. Stokes, Sr., and her brother, Ray C. Stokes "Buddy" Jr., will forever cherish the memories and the times they shared with Maggie.

Maggie's life was a tapestry of moments filled with laughter and joy, woven together with the threads of her enduring love for her family. Her five grandchildren, who were the light of her life, will carry forward the lessons of kindness and the spirit of generosity that Maggie exemplified in every action.

Known for her radiant smile and the care she extended to everyone she met, Maggie's presence was a gift to her community. She approached life with a sense of wonder and enthusiasm that inspired all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her ability to see the beauty in the world and in the people around her made her a beacon of hope and positivity.

As we bid farewell to Marguerite "Maggie" Stokes McLean, we do so with hearts full of gratitude for the time we were privileged to share with her. Her laughter will echo in our memories, her wisdom will guide us, and her love will continue to nurture us, even as we mourn her passing.

Maggie's life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of family, and the beauty of a life well-lived. As we gather to honor her memory, we are reminded of the impact one person can have on so many lives. Maggie's spirit will remain with us, a guiding light for the paths we each will take.

In her passing, the world has lost a remarkable woman, but the heavens have gained a shining star. Marguerite "Maggie" Stokes McLean will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her legacy of love and joy will continue to resonate for generations to come.
