Obituary
Philip Jacob Best, age 60 of Athens, Alabama passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at his home. He was born in Drew, Mississippi on November 30, 1962, to Terry Little and Jimmie Partridge Best. Philip was an employee of NASA as an Aerospace Engineer; he loved the outdoors fishing, hunting and being with nature. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and an Alumni of Mississippi State.
Philip is preceded in death by his father, Terry Little. He is survived by his mother, Jimmie Best; stepfather, Charles Henry (Debbie) Best; stepmother, Judy Little; daughters, Natalie (Stormy) Steven and Sarah (Gil) Johnson; brothers, Chuck Best, Scott Best and Terry Little, Jr.; sisters, Suzanne Olive and Cindy Donald; grandchildren, Wilder and Rainer Stevens, Isaac and Micah Johnson.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 1:00 PM from the Hampton Cove Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
