Robert “Bob” William Kensel, 80, passed away February 6th, 2020 in Huntsville, AL surrounded by family.

Services will be held in Plattsburgh, NY and a funeral will be in Deep River, CT.

Bob was born March 22nd, 1939 in Deep River, CT and attended Valley Regional High School in Deep River, CT. After High School, Mr. Kensel enlisted in the United States Navy. During Bob’s 20-year Navy career he served around the globe and in the Vietnam Conflict. While serving Mr. Kensel married his wife of 53 years, Judith Kensel (Champion) of Old Saybrook, CT. Those that know Mr. Kensel will remember him for his ability to make everyone around him laugh. Bob’s jovial demeanor and selflessness will be missed.

Mr. Kensel is survived by his wife, Marcelle Kensel, five children; Mark Kensel, Michael Kensel, Melissa Bracale, Eric Kensel, and Daniel Kensel, 12 grandchildren and 6 step-grandchildren.
