Roy Lee Fogg, Sr., age 81 of Hazel Green, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Roy was born in Columbia, Tennessee on April 14, 1941, to Roy and Irene Paul Fogg. Roy served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965 receiving the expert Rifle Badge and Expert Infantry Badge; he was an avid Alabama Football Fan (Roll Tide) and also an Atlanta Braves Baseball fan; he loved his animals and building things while chewing his Red-Man Chewing Tobacco. Roy was also an Ordained Minister that loved to spread the gospel and witnessing to people about how great God is.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Ann Szewczyk Fogg; daughter, Charity Fogg Atkins; his parents, Roy Pershing Fogg and Irene Paul Lovell. He is survived by his son, Lee Fogg, Jr (Donni); daughter, Angela Fogg Milliner; grandchildren, Kristopher Fogg, Morgan (Ryan) Hollaway, Zachary (Taylor) Fogg, Cameron Milliner; step grandchildren, Jessica (Rory) Overcast and Austin (Stephanie) Sharpe; great grandchildren, Ellie Ramsey, Casen Milliner, Sawyer Fogg, and Stetson Fogg; step great grandchildren, Rylee Overcast, Bryce Hale and Mason Sharpe.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the Hampton Cove Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hampton Cove Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. The family has asked Zachary Fogg, Darryl Adams, Austin Sharpe, Tim Baker, Devan Adams, and Cameron Milliner to serve as pallbearers.
