Sandra Kay (Rethard) Kennamer

Sandra Kay Kennamer went to be with our Heavenly Father on October 24th, 2021 at the age of seventy-five after a courageous three year and ten months battle with cancer. She was born in Illinois. She met her husband Jack in Germany where they were married in 1965. They were married fifty-five years and ten months. She is survived by one sister, Carol Wolf, who lives in Kansas with her husband, Doyle Wolf. Also, she is survived by four daughters: Mary Ann Townsend, Amy Mannahan, Elizabeth Kennamer, and Jacquelin Kennamer; two granddaughters: Jessica Burgess and Aviana Proctor; four great grandchildren: Kane, Hazel, Addyson, and Mikey.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Raymond and Beatrice Rethard; and her great granddaughter, Erica Owens.

Sandy was well known for her love of books, the Colorado mountains, and the ocean. She worked twenty-five years for Walmart and was a dedicated employee. She was proud of her job. Many people will remember her in the Sporting Goods department. Above all, her love and compassion for others will always be the most prominent thing to come to mind when you think of Sandy. She was a strong believer in Jesus. She is greatly missed.

Memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 3rd at Calvary Bible Church, 607 Drake Ave SE, Huntsville, AL. Visitation 11:00 AM and funeral service at 11:30 AM.
