Sarah Marie (Townsend) Tepool

Sarah Marie (Townsend) Tepool died on Sunday, February 7. She was born October 28, 1940 to Walter & Catherine Townsend in Evansville, IN.

Sarah married her high school sweetheart, Ronald E. Tepool on November 17, 1962. They met at 8th grade day and shared 58 years together.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings –Richard Townsend, Thomas Townsend, Rita Townsend and Joan Seib.

Sarah is survived by her husband Ron Tepool and their four children, Stacey Wall (Gus), Eric Tepool (Tammy), Michael Tepool (Melissa) and Trisha Carter (Michael) ; Ten grandchildren Kristen Townsley (Andrew) , Trent Tepool, Caitlyn McDonald (Lloyd), Matthew Wall (Georgianna), Lauren Butler (Kevin), Sarah Reagan Hughes (Austin), Morgan Wall, Claire Carter, Anna Tepool and Josh Carter ; Five great grandchildren Hudson, Harrison , Luke and Audrey Townsley and Wilkerson McDonald; Eight Siblings Suzanne Lohrer (Ray), Carolyn Allen, Mary Jane Pfister (Jim), Judy Mulherin, Dan Townsend (Katie), Kathy Seibert (Donnie), Mike Townsend (Mary Jo) and David Townsend (Lynna).

Sarah was an excellent homemaker with a focus on family until 1978 when she started employment at New Technology, Inc., working in Human Resources.  She retired after 15 years of service to spend time caring for her grandchildren, crocheting afghans for her loved ones and shopping with her sisters.  She had a strong faith and loved spending quiet time with the Lord in prayer.

A celebration of Sarah’s life will be Friday, February 12 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Huntsville, Alabama with Visitation at 10:00 and a Funeral Mass at 11:00, officiated by Reverend Jonathan Howell.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church Perpetual Adoration Chapel or your favorite charity.
