Thomas Julian Darmer Sr.

Thomas Julian Darmer, Sr., 81 years old of Athens, AL, passed away June 30, 2020.  He is survived by his wife, Virginia Rogers Darmer.  They were married for 58 years.  He was blessed with 3 children and 6 grandchildren.  Daughter, Renee Darmer Gaston of Harvest, AL; Son, Thomas J. Darmer, Jr. of Athens, AL; and Daughter, Penny Darmer Stevens of Athens, AL. Grandchildren: Morgan Rushlow (Ryan) of Crestview, FL; Meagan Doroshenko (Jordan)  of Coupville, WA; and Jessica Gaston of Norfolk, VA; Catherine, Savannah, and Wyatt Stevens of Athens, AL.  Julian is also survived by his sisters: Jane Barksdale of Round Rock, Texas; Cathy Mullins and Trudy Romine of Athens, AL and Brother, Joe Darmer of Athens, AL

He was preceded in death by his parents, John C. Darmer, Sr. and Catherine Loggins Darmer and his siblings: William A. (Billy) Darmer, John C. (Johnny) Darmer, Jr. and Mary Ellen Darmer, all of Athens.

The Visitation and Funeral will be on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Central Church of Christ, 320 US Hwy 31N, Athens, AL 35611.  Visitation will be 12 pm-2 pm with Funeral following at 2 pm.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, AL.  After Celebration family and friends will gather and eat at Trudy Romine's Pavilion, 16495 Zehner Rd, Athens, AL 35611.

Pallbearers will be Dave Barksdale, Stanley Rogers, Eric Johnson, Chandler Stevens, Steve Morgan, and Robert Spuhl.
