Wanda Siniard Obituary

Wanda Siniard, 86, passed away Saturday 15th, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital with her granddaughter Olivia by her side.  Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 19th, 2020 at 11:00 am at Hampton Cove Funeral Home.  Brother George Denmark, Brother Sam Etheredge and Brother Darryl Chambers will officiate.  Burial will follow afterwards at Hampton Cove Cemetery.

Wanda was preceded in death by her loving husband Lavon Siniard; her devoted son Ricky Siniard and his wife Syrethia; and her parents JB and Olivia Clayton.

Mrs. Siniard was born in Dekalb County and later attended New Hope School.  She graduated New Hope School and lived in the Huntsville area the rest of her life.

Wanda met the love of her life Lavon and they had a loving marriage, but their family wasn’t complete until they had their 2 children Ricky and LaWanda.

Wanda made a career working at Chrysler and she helped provide for her family by working as much as she could.  She eventually retired after a long and successful career.

When Wanda woke up in the morning, she did so with a song on her lips.  She was a bright sunny person who loved everybody that she met.  She made the people around her smile with the songs that she sang and the open heart that she possessed.

Wanda was a phenomenal cook and one of her favorite activities was to cook for anyone that she could.  If you visited her home, you left with some of her goodies in hand.

However, on Friday nights, she was a card shark playing Alabama rummy with her friends.  If she couldn’t find a card game, she would play dominos with her brother Gary and his wife Donna.

Mrs. Siniard was a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.  She loved her church family as much as she loved her own family and was constantly feeding them her amazing food.

Wanda is survived by her loving daughter LaWanda Siniard; her grandchildren; Christopher Lanier, Olivia Cooper and her husband Vincent, Jacub Siniard and his wife Becca, Sara Richards and her husband Ryan and Jered Siniard; her brother Gary Clayton and his wife Donna; 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and her beloved fur baby Tinker.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday February 18th at Hampton Cove Funeral Home.
