Charles' family roots run deep in Jackson County,Florida, his great grandfather settled here in the 1800s. In more recent years his father attended Alford School and his mother was a student at Round Lake Elementary. 

Charles received his funeral director and embalming license in 1978 after graduating from Gupton Jones Mortuary School in Atlanta, Ga. In 1984 he and his business partner formed Evergreen Forest Lawn Management Corp. doing business as Kent Funeral Home in Panama City, Fl, the company grew to include several funeral homes and cemeteries in the South East. 

After a short semi-retirement, Charles realized he missed serving families in his chosen field of funeral service which lead he and his wife, Julie,to move to Jackson County and purchase Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. 

They are parents to three children, Charles Kent, Jr. and Justin Kent, both in the funeral industry and Ashley Kent, still in college. 

Charles is CEO of Kent Care LLC a corporation serving as a funeral home acquistion company with the mission of never forgetting that each family is to be served as if they were their own. Charles is committed to lead families through their time of loss in a professional, honest and caring manner. 

Charles is a member of the Marianna First Methodist Church, the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, serving on the board of directors and as immediate past chairman, a founding member of the First Capital Bank and a member of Marianna Rotary Club.

LeAnne Dickeson

LeAnne Dickeson

Managing Cremationist, Funeral Director, Advanced Planning Sales, Notary Public

LeAnne started in the funeral industry in the Gadsden area in 2013 selling prearranged funerals.  She attended Jefferson State University and received her Funeral Director's license.  She recently attained her cremation license and is now the Managing Cremationist at Hampton Cove.  In addition, LeAnne is now a notary to help serve the community.

LeAnne has 2 children and lives in Cherokee County.

Courtney Long

Courtney Long

Licensed Cremationist, Apprentice Funeral Director and Embalmer

Courtney is currently attending Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service working towards her dual license of Funeral Director and Embalmer.  She has already attained her cremationist license.

Courtney and her husband Jay live in Guntersville with their 4 children.
